Description
Description
Douglas Wood Dye penetrates the wood, permanently colouring the surface while emphasising and strengthening the grain patterns.
Douglas wood dye is ideal for doors, skirting, window frames, cupboards and other wooden and wood based items of indoor furniture. For exterior wood we recommend Douglas Wood Stains.
It can be over coated by water / oil based paints and varnishes as well as polyurethanes. Always try a small section first to ensure no unexpected results.
Coverage
Depending on the type and absorbency of the wooden surface, coverage is circa 12 14 square meters per litre.
Application
Apply the Wood Dye with a cloth, sponge or brush, using long strokes in line with the grain of the wood. To obtain a darker shade, apply two layers, approximately 30 minutes apart. Avoid contact with skin to prevent staining. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Apply at temperatures between +5 degrees C and +30 degrees C.
