Timbertrove Sauna Warranty

At Timbertrove, we take pride in the quality of our outdoor saunas and stand behind the craftsmanship of every sauna we supply.

This warranty outlines the coverage provided for Timbertrove sauna structures and explains the separate warranty arrangements for Harvia heaters and accessories.

1. Warranty Period

  • Private customers: 2 years from the date of delivery.
  • Commercial customers (e.g. spas, hotels, rentals): 6 months from the date of delivery.
  • This warranty applies to the sauna structure and timber components supplied by Timbertrove.

2. Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers manufacturing and material defects under normal, intended use, provided the sauna has been assembled, installed, and maintained according to the supplied instructions.

  • Structural integrity: Wood panels, doors, benches, and cabin construction.
  • Heater and electrical components: Covered by the manufacturer Harvia (see section 5 below)

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear, natural wood characteristics (expansion, cracks, shrinkage, discoloration), or cosmetic imperfections caused by use or environment.
  • Accidental damage during transport, delivery, or assembly (e.g. glass breakage, incorrect handling).
  • Defects caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, or failure to follow the instructions.
  • Repairs, modifications, or alterations carried out without approval.
  • Consumables such as sauna stones, bulbs, fuses, or other replaceable parts.
  • Saunas installed incorrectly (e.g. on uneven ground, blocked ventilation).
  • Damage caused by extreme weather or natural events (storm, flood, etc.).
  • Heater faults, electrical issues, control panel faults, heating element failures, or other defects covered under the Harvia manufacturer's warranty.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Carefully check all parts for completeness and damage before and during assembly.
  • Report any transport damage immediately on delivery with the courier’s confirmation, including photos.
  • Follow all assembly, installation, and care instructions. Improper handling during or after assembly is not covered.
  • Timber Treatment & Maintenance:
    • For certain models, including The Emerald Sauna and The Vista Sauna, the exterior timber must be treated with a suitable protective paint, stain, or timber protection product as soon as practical after installation.
    • Ongoing maintenance is required to protect the timber from weathering. Failure to adequately maintain and protect exterior timber surfaces may affect warranty coverage for timber-related issues.
    • Always use breathable, weather-resistant products suitable for outdoor saunas.

5. Harvia Heater Warranty

All Harvia heaters supplied with Timbertrove saunas come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty for residential use (6 months for commercial use).

Harvia also offers an additional 1-year warranty extension when the product is registered online within 30 days of purchase.
We strongly encourage customers to register their Harvia heater at:
www.harvia.com/heater-registration

Should you experience an issue relating to the heater, controls, heating elements, electrical components, spare parts, or technical operation, please contact Harvia directly using the heater serial number.

Timbertrove does not diagnose, repair, or process warranty claims relating to Harvia heaters. We recommend that all heaters are checked by the installing electrician before first use to ensure correct operation.

  • Contact Timbertrove with proof of purchase, photos, and details of the defect.

Shed Specifications

Our sheds are made with 125mm x 22mm log pine boards as standard.

It is also possible to choose flat weather sheeting boards, see here. Please call our team if you would prefer this option.

Often suppliers use a more basic shed roof felt that may only last for five years. However, at Timbertrove we use a top quality heavy duty felt which should be good for 12-15 years. Of course, the lifespan will be reduced if it’s in an exposed, windy location or if there is a branch rubbing against it. Roof felt has the advantage of being reasonably easy to repair or replace.

Yes, we sell roofing felt for garden sheds by the meter so you only have to buy what you need. Please click here to purchase.

We have a limited re-felting service which depends on workload commitments at the time of request. Please call our sales team on (01) 493-1034 or email sales@timbertrove.com to enquire.

Yes, we can fit a steel onto your shed for an additional cost. As metal has a tendency to condensate, we will fit the steel roof on top of our standard roof felt, so basically you will be getting a second roof covering. For pricing, please view our Garden Sheds range by clicking here and choose your favourite shed style. In the product add-ons, you will see the option to add a steel roof to fit the shed size of your choice.

Yes, we can supply and fit shelves and a workbench if you wish for a small additional cost. When purchasing a shed online, please choose your desired shelf and/or workbench size and quantity in the optional extras section. Our sheds have a very strong wooden frame, making it easy to attach extra shelves any time in the future.

You can pay by card, bank transfer or cash. Please note, the shed must be paid for in full before fitting.

Yes, they come with a five year limited guarantee. However, our sheds are very high quality so customers rarely have any issues with them, even far beyond five years.

Yes, we usually include one window free of charge. Additional windows can be added for an extra charge. Please contact us to arrange this when ordering your shed.

We normally use glass; however we can fit Perspex for a small additional charge.

Shed Installation

The vast majority of garden sheds sit on concrete blocks which are placed directly onto grass or soil, which works great for the average garden shed. Please note that concrete blocks are included in the price of your shed. The blocks will keep the wood from touching the ground and will allow air to circulate under the shed. This option offers great advantages as it will save you the cost of constructing a concrete base and is more convenient if you need to relocate the shed in a few years’ time.

A concrete base would be ideal, but in reality the vast majority of garden sheds sit on concrete blocks which are placed on grass or soil. In most cases, this will work perfectly. However, if you are purchasing a very large shed or you intend to put a lot of weight into it, then you should consider putting it on a concrete base or at least a hardcore stone base. In doing so, you will prevent the shed from sinking or moving. If it moves or sink on one side or corner, it will cause the shed to twist and may push the door out of line.

Yes, it’s still a really good idea to put blocks under the shed because it allows air to circulate underneath which extends the life of your wooden shed floor.

A full concrete base is the ideal solution, but for the average garden shed it is not necessary to extend it. We can simply place some blocks on the concrete base while building up blocks on the lower ground to support the shed at an even level. However, if you intend on putting heavy items in the shed then extending the concrete base would be the best option.

If your site is slightly uneven, we can usually fix this quite easily with some extra packers on top of the blocks. However, if the site is very low on one side we can build it up using additional concrete blocks to ensure that the shed will be level. It’s important to note that these blocks will be visible. In this instance, our customers often decide to hide the blocks at a later stage by either raising their garden or camouflaging them with shrubs or a timber panel. If your garden is very sloped or uneven, it may be necessary to level the area before ordering your shed. If you are unsure or concerned, please send us a photograph of the proposed site and we can advise you on this. When taking the photo, if possible include a fence or a wall in the background to give us an idea of the scale and include the size of the shed you are planning to purchase.

It’s important that your new shed sits level otherwise over time the walls will twist and the door will go out of line.

Yes. It is necessary that someone responsible is present to instruct our team on the exact desired location of the shed.

It will usually take less than two hours to install an average size garden shed.

Yes, we can take your old shed down and dispose of it in the correct environmental manner for an additional cost. As a guideline, it costs €175 to remove the average size garden shed. Please call us for an accurate quote. It’s important to note that we will only take away the bare shed and cannot dispose of any contents in addition. The shed must be completely empty before we arrive. If you would like to clear away any other unwanted items it may be useful to consider hiring a skip and disposing of everything at once, including your old shed.

Please note, if there is electricity in your old shed this must be disconnected before our arrival by a registered electrician. This is not something our team can do.

No, this work must be done by a registered electrician.
